Word Cloud Visualisation

Word Cloud of the article, Clubhouse Cured My Imposter Syndrome

This article sarcastically points out the dangers of "Clubhouse," an up-and-coming social networking site. The author, mentioning the famous Theranos’ falsehood and downfall in the past, criticizes Clubhouse for being full of frauds who act like such revolutionaries. He used Clubhouse for a few months and witnessed people unfairly collecting money from innocent users and selling products with no scientific merit through the hype in closed “club rooms”. Finally, he said, he was reminded of how beneficial real-world connections can be. Recently, Clubhouse has become popular in my home country, Japan, and similarly, the existence of vendors illegally promoting electrical products without any scientific basis has been pointed out.

I copied and pasted the text of this article into my Google Docs document. I added an add-on called Word Cloud Generator to Google Docs and applied it to the text. I went through several refreshes and picked out the best-looking word cloud. The most prominent word in this word cloud is of course "clubhouse". Since it is the main theme of this article, I generated a word cloud with the word placed in the center of the image. And at the bottom left of the word "clubhouse", you will find the word "science". You can also find other scientific buzzwords such as "Theranos", "covid", and "vaccine". This also shows that this article is referring to the latest scientific topics. Words such as "bullshit", "curious", and "bamboozled" also stand out in the word cloud. You can see how much the author criticizes and despises the scammers lurking in the clubhouse in this article.
